2001 Creation Offers New Drop-Down Window
For Truck-Cap Applications
A new drop-down truck-cap front access window has been introduced by Creation Windows of Elkhart, Indiana. The new slider-type window, designated the Model 271, is now being produced and shipped for all sizes and configurations of truck-caps for all domestic and import pickup trucks. The Model 271 was designed with user conveniences in mind,
primarily easier, faster and more effective cleaning of all window areas.
The drawing below illustrates a few feature/benefits of the new slider, including Creations' new spring-loaded latch, a smaller and tighter gap to facilitate clamp-ring retention, plus no screws are visible from inside the cap for a cleaner and more aesthetic appearance.
The spring-loaded latch is also pre-installed by Creation to facilitate maximum efficiency and factory-fit tightness. This will enable Creation's truck-cap customers to assemble caps faster and eliminate any concerns about latch-fit issues. As always, Creation Windows reminds truck-cap manufacturers and end-users that for maximum safety, this and any other drop-down window must be returned to the upright and locked position before the vehicle is driven.
